Before reading further, you must own a guitar first. I'm offering a free 30 mn Zoom session (Ac/Elec/Voice) My goal is to free up your creativity on the guitar by removing any obstacle between what you feel and what you play. Understanding how music works and how the guitar works frees up your inspiration right from the start. My super Powers: -25Y. experience, (Classroom&Stage),amazing teaching visuals Apps -A massive tool-box of exercises that integrate & address every aspects of music making on the guitar.( including performance coaching, breath works and stress release) -I can create custom exercises just for you, write them live on-screen. -Train Voice&Guitar at the same time.( Recommended for all, ask me why) -Turn your ideas into full song or composition ,no matter how small they are -I can write TAB and Music on your screen, so you will always know what to practice. Before you get your free session, send me two lists of songs/music. 1) The music you really want to play & understand- in your wildest dreams- by order of priority if possible. 2) The music you grew up with-not necessarily your favorite- but music that marked the chapters of your life. The lists may overlap & might change over-time(Musical Memory is a funny thing).This is an interesting process for both of us, for a conversation to create a solid path between your past, present and futur. Four years ago, I met Bertrand at one of his performances and I was blown away. I’ve taken lessons with him since. I've taken six guitar lessons now with Bertrand and they were great! I like his approach and idea of applied theory rather than just music theory, and learning how songs work to be a better musician and not just a guitarist who plays things and doesn't understand how or why they work. Also of the long term goal of being able to express whatever you want with a guitar through the guitar. Thanks! Will be continuing with my lessons

Bertrand is a superb guitar instructor. He is patient, supportive, flexible and he has a wonderful teaching style. He makes my lessons a lot of fun--I enjoy learning from him. I've taken lessons from several other, fine instructors but Bertrand is the first teacher who actually makes me feel like I'll be able to play the guitar. I look forward to learning some new songs and a lot about music in general.

I have been taking classical guitar lessons from Bertrand for a few weeks and am pleased with the progress. Bertrand has a contagious music philosophy and a knack for intertwining genres. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hour & prices: In my studio: $60 (But $50 Bulk rate and 1rst lesson) Your house: $75 if within 3 miles of Porter Group: Workshops /Classes TBA Any frequency welcome (Weekly/monthly etc...)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
-Preliminary chat/ orientation on the phone, a two way interview of sorts. We talk about goals, styles, the music that inspires the student (could be anything at all) I present various style of learning so we can design a unique lesson plan and approach for that person. - i present the various supporting materials I use for teaching, and the path, the thread that will connect all lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Berkley College of Music was good for theory, Mass Art was great for creativity. Before that, I self studied from books and mostly by ear from recordings. I learned a lot on stage: Rock, Blues & avant-guard bands freed up my the electric guitar side, but I never forgot the acoustic. Guitar for live Improv' Theatre for years was /is a great training in articulating on the spot an emotion. I study classical to improve reading skills, to understanding composition. I also study how the brain learns, and positive psychology. I do think a good teacher must remain a student forever.
