Do NOT hire this person to repair any of your appliances. On October 17, 2015, Jacob Kurtz supposedly "repaired" my Maytag refrigerator. He charged my wife $170 for a Saturday service call and then he charged her full price ($146) for a new "control board". All he did, however, was actually re-install my refrigerator's old & broken control board, on which he had super-glued a broken push-button back together. My second repair person showed me his "repair" job, which lasted less than 1 month. I called Jacob to discuss this situation. After I described what had happened with his "repair," Jacob told me that he would call me back - which he never did. So much for his "friendly" service and his 1 year warranty! The Better Business Bureau gets my next call, while Maytag gets a call after that!
UPDATE (Dec 17, 2015): It has been 13 days since I sent him a letter explaining that he could rectify this situation by refunding my money. He has not contacted me. My next option is to contact a local TV station and let Channel 13's Investigation Team check it out.
