FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have always gotten paid hourly. The reason for this is if a person is hired and a quarter into the job they realize they are not satisfied with the worker, whether it style, comfort, or a personal reason, the customer hasn't sunk $100's or $1000's into a worker and not be satisfied.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new customer, I think they need to feel 100% comfortable with a person they are looking into hiring. Therefore I think it is crucial to meet with them, allow them to ask any questions they may have, and allow them to get a sense of comfort with the person they are trusting to do the task at hand. Also it is crucial to get a written list of their wishes and keep a log of detailed instructions so the job is done right the first time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have painted houses now for 15+ years, I also have a long line of artists in my family, also a long line of construction workers in my family also. So this is something that I have grown up into.
