Introduction

I'm knowledgeable, friendly and patient and I understand that everyone learns differently. I know that math, statistics and programming can be intimidating for a lot of people. So, I always do my best to explain concepts in a clear, concise way that clients will understand. And I provide examples of how each concept can be applied to real-life situations. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30/hour for elementary level math tutoring and $40/hour for all other subjects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I'm constantly reading books and attending free webinars to keep up with the latest trends in software engineering and other subjects of interest. I've also recently reviewed a lot of math and statistics material online, and passed all of the subject area tests to prepare myself for a transition from the high tech industry into tutoring.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always enjoyed teaching and tutoring over the years. I was a teaching assistant in statistics in graduate school, and I also taught Basic programming classes to elementary school students. I volunteered on a weekly basis for about 11 years at both of my daughters' elementary school with computer hour and other learning activities. And I used my math, statistics and programming skills frequently during my 30+ years in the high tech industry.
