Muralist - Range Hood and Pendant Lights
Photos and Videos
Janet executed a project for my client in the painting of a mural on a large range hood and three companion island pendant light fixtures. The result is spectacular, and my clients are thrilled. Janet listened to what my clients and I wanted, added some flourishes of her own, and the result is beautiful!Nov 12, 2019VerifiedDale House Murals LLC's reply
Thank you Sandra. This was such a wonderful project and such delightful people to work with! As you know, I have this thing about birds. It was fun painting them.
Everything about Jan is exceptional! I worked with her on a commercial project and it could not have gone smoother. Jan is not only talented, but she is also a fantastic person to work with!Oct 16, 2019VerifiedDale House Murals LLC's reply
Thank you, Julie! I can say the same about you. Hope to work with you again in future.
Excellent company to work with... Jan was very professional and had excellent attention to detail in helping our school zero in on the best design for our gymnasium mural.Sep 21, 2018VerifiedDale House Murals LLC's reply

Tracie, I couldn't have had a more positive experience creating for you. What a great host you are. Thank you for telling your friends as well! The most satisfying thing about painting murals is seeing people made happy. Thank you for the great review.
Jan is a talented artist with creative ideas! She responds quickly to emails and gives 110% to any project. She is willing to think outside the box and to collaborate with you on your ideas. I highly recommend her!Aug 7, 2018VerifiedDale House Murals LLC's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I follow a written pricing structure based on square footage and level of detail. The more detail the higher the price per square foot. The higher the number of square feet the lower the price per square foot. Price ranges from $10 (simple or larger) to $24 (highly detailed) per square foot with most projects falling in the $11-$14 per sqft range. Ceilings are just a bit more depending on the height and how much scaffolding is needed. My prices are based on fair industry standard, so discounts are unnecessary. One exception is that I give schools a special price because as a former school teacher, I am passionate about education. There are simple things a client can do to help reduce cost if needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Work occurs in this order: Initial estimate sent, first contact by phone, text, or email, free on-site consultation (if client lives s in SE Michigan), sketch fee, sketch approved, work agreement signed, 50% deposit paid, mural completed, 50% final payment, final touches, mural signed, happy people all around.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am proudly self-educated. I keep up with current trends in the art of mural-making, taking it upon myself to learn everything I need to through research and practice. In recent years with the availability of online learning, I have an enormous amount of resources for learning new trends and techniques, and working with the latest and best equipment and materials.
