Introduction: Two reasons. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not all that complicated - but I offer and encourage a face-to-face interview before you hire me. I also require a deposit - usually $100 - to reserve your event on my schedule.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Get references - there are non-responsible types in this industry. Also, interview and meet your DJ in advance. This person will likely be the largest impact on the success of your event: 10 years from now, your guests won't remember if the chicken was dry - but they'll remember the good time they had! You will want to know if he or she has the personality and professionalism to ensure the success of your party.
