What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the amount of time required for performance and the number of people at the event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know as many details about the event as possible so I can understand how my magic will fit in and make it the best that it can be. I can customize shows to a theme, use important people as audience helpers, etc. There are many options, but you need to call me to discuss them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read trade publications, attend conventions and obtain books and other materials to increase my skills.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved magic since I was small. My first magical experience was seeing Doug Henning perform on The Muppet Show. Later I was enthralled by the TV specials of David Copperfield, and wanted to learn the close-up magic he performed. I've spent years practicing to hold the attention of and inspire my audiences. Hire me, because I'm worth it!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Families, churches, seniors homes, corporations, civic organizations.
Birthdays, Grand Openings, Holiday Parties, Special events of many kinds.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had the opportunity in 2015 to do balloon entertainment for a shoe store over an entire weekend. It was five hours a day, for three days. People kept coming in off the street saying, "We heard there was a great balloon artist here," and the employees would point to me and say, "Go that way." I got lots of compliments from parents, saying, "You make things I've never seen before!"
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Consider multiple options for how to add a touch of magic to your event. A full stage show is not always necessary. An installation or "magic booth" can also be a great addition to something like an open house or family gathering.
