About this pro

How does your business stand out?

I present a unique and intimate style of magic that sets me apart from all the rest. Striving not to just perform tricks, but to create an overall magical experience for your attendees., I prefer to work physically close to people. Minus the barriers of a stage or even a table, I can plan with you and discover exactly what your needs are for your event. I then customize a solution that can thrill a boardroom, a classroom, your living room or a ballroom. The goal is always to meet your needs and exceed expectations.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

The opportunity to meet people and bless them with some amazing experiences. I like kids, and they like me, too. When the entire family watches the magic show with the kids, it's just the best of times. Nothing beats making people happy!

I hired Carrie on two occasions. The first was at our annual Purim carnival and she dazzled the crowd with her superior balloon making skills. I have never seen anyone make such art with balloons. The second occasion was for our group of special needs teens. She was fantastic with the participants our our program. We cannot wait to have her come back and perform again.

    Carrie did a wonderful job!
My church wants to celebrate Chinese New Year and wanted to have a magician to perform for kids and youth. Carrie put her heart and great effort on designing the program. She did a wonderful job.

Carrie made our daughter's birthday party even better than we anticipated. She engaged the adults but especially the kids. She is very engaging and involves the kids superbly. Thank you and look forward to another one of your performances.

she was a delight to my children and there friends, we hired her for a Halloween party and she was wonderful, very active with the children. My husband even hired her for a little more time to entertain the adults at the party. She was on time and very professional if I decide to have entertainment again she would be my go to!!!!!!! We hired Carrie for my son (5) and nephew's (9) birthday party in August, 2014. She was AMAZING! She did a great job of describing her show to the kids as well as involving the kids in her show. There were about 25 kids total, ranging in ages 3-12, and a good mix of excitable little girls and "stinky little boys" - she entertained them all and taught them some valuable lessons about how to treat each other. Example: We thought one friend of the birthday boy was going to be a handful for Carrie (he was loud, trying to be "cool", saying things like "I've seen this trick"..."that looks fake", and basically being a 9 year old boy at first)... but it didn't phase her at all. She ended up making him part of the show and by the end was one of her biggest fans! The best thing was that she made both birthday boys feel equally special. She had little gifts for them at the end and each kid went away with a certificate from Carrie. It was the little touches that made the moment so special. We were a bit apprehensive about hiring a magician we had never met before but Carrie was a true professional. She was incredibly helpful with communication leading up to the event and her set up and performance put us completely at ease. It was nice to have done so much planning and running around the day of to just sit back, relax and be entertained by Carrie. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Carrie for any child's birthday party. You will be at first surprised....amazed....and then left in admiration.....and isn't that what true entertainers do? :) Your kids will love it...and you will get MORE than you bargained for. GUARANTEED! PS - We had a little trouble with her sound system but we handled it and kept the show going. She wasn't even rattled. She is a true performer and magician. You and your kids will enjoy every minute of the show!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the amount of time required for performance and the number of people at the event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to know as many details about the event as possible so I can understand how my magic will fit in and make it the best that it can be. I can customize shows to a theme, use important people as audience helpers, etc. There are many options, but you need to call me to discuss them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read trade publications, attend conventions and obtain books and other materials to increase my skills.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved magic since I was small. My first magical experience was seeing Doug Henning perform on The Muppet Show. Later I was enthralled by the TV specials of David Copperfield, and wanted to learn the close-up magic he performed. I've spent years practicing to hold the attention of and inspire my audiences. Hire me, because I'm worth it!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Families, churches, seniors homes, corporations, civic organizations. Birthdays, Grand Openings, Holiday Parties, Special events of many kinds.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had the opportunity in 2015 to do balloon entertainment for a shoe store over an entire weekend. It was five hours a day, for three days. People kept coming in off the street saying, "We heard there was a great balloon artist here," and the employees would point to me and say, "Go that way." I got lots of compliments from parents, saying, "You make things I've never seen before!"
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Consider multiple options for how to add a touch of magic to your event. A full stage show is not always necessary. An installation or "magic booth" can also be a great addition to something like an open house or family gathering.
