Needed a cleanup company for my sister-in law's apartment. Don was VERY professional and sensitive to the situation we had going on. He worked through a couple of issues on our end without even thinking twice. Don and his crew did a wonderful job emptying the apartment for us while preserving some personal documents he found. My request was for boxes to be moved o my garage. Not only was that done quickly but the crew of two very organized women arranged the boxes so the I would have a easier time going through them. Expen$ive !!! However, due to what their business SAYS IT IS, I give them a pass. That said: Excellent customer relations ! Prompt, courteous and flexible regarding minor changes in scope of work. If anyone is dealing with a "true hoarding" situation (or a large project) I'd recommend them highly. Stephanie was great! I was all anxious, expecting to have to sit down and talk and come up with some kind of plan (probably because that's what I would normally do and then not follow through). Nope! She said "where do you want to start?" And we got right into purging, sorting, and setting stuff aside for donating and now 2/3 of my house is presentable and almost clutter free. I needed an impartial party to help get my butt in gear, and we got so much done in just three hours. I'm enjoying the cleansing feeling of getting rid of so much stuff. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is kind of difficult until we see the actual project at hand. Basic organization is $ 75 an hour per organizer, usually leads into something more. Straight clean outs normally start at $2700.00 and comprehensive hoarding clean outs are priced based on project and need.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?In working with a new client, I want to understand what is going on in their life. Maybe it is just an organizing situation, or maybe wanting to rid themselves of a bunch of discards they do not want anymore. We also work with hoarding clients where I try to get to the root of the problem.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been in the helps business all of my life. Usually people wouldn't want to come to me because I have never worked in anything that you want; it is what you need. I worked as an aftercare counselor and preplanning in the funeral business which was the most rewarding job of my life.
