FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have two fees for our services. One of the areas that we specialize in is creating custom financial plans for our clients. Our plans establish goals and action steps for retirement, premature death, disability, and college funding. Most financial plans require approximately 20 hours of work to build. We typically schedule one or two meetings with clients to collect data and identify goals. The rest of the time spent is with my staff to build your plan and develop reasonable options. The average fee for this service varies based on the project. The fee covers the first 12 months of any changes or revisions to your plan. We also charge an investment management fee for our client's investment portfolios. The annual fee for this service starts at 1% (annually) and can be reduced depending on the aggregated account values.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a complimentary introductory meeting. The goal of the meeting is to learn about your goals and current situation. I spend a portion of the meeting educating you on our approach, our fiduciary responsibility, and how we are compensated.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan. I am also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
