FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When we provide you with an estimate, we try to make this as comprehensive as possible. We do our best to avoid change orders, but things happen during a remodel or renovation. We are fair and honest when it comes to initial pricing and changes that may occur during the project. Everything is communicated clearly. Our standard draw schedule is 30% down, 30% 1st draw and 30% final payment upon completion. We have found this to work best on most mid-size projects. Larger and smaller project draw schedules vary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, we first like to start with an initial phone call to make sure that we are a good fit for the project. After that has been determined, depending on the scope of the project and location, we may ask to see photos of the area and have the potential client email us a description of the services they are requesting. We may be able to provide a rough estimate from this information. If the rough estimate is inline with the estimated budget, then we will move forward with an on-site visit and measure and then provide a detailed estimate outlining the entire project, including timelines and project draw schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ken has been a Michigan licensed builder since 2002. He has worked in residential home building, concrete, commercial concrete, commercial carpentry and industrial buildings. He has a breadth of knowledge and resources spanning over 25 years working in construction. Monica is a co-founder and has been on the job since Day 1. She has more recently gotten very involved in Project Management on all projects and is the interface between the customer and the company. She assists with the design and product procurement, as well as working on site. This has helped her gain a deeper knowledge of each project and has build our network of trusted subcontractors. Monica is also a licensed Realtor in Michigan and takes her construction knowledge into that work, as well.
