My name is Alycia and I am the owner and founder of Simplified Solutions. I call Brighton, Michigan my home and am married to an amazing husband and we have three kids.
As a DIY addict and former homeschooling mom, I know what it’s like to juggle all the “things” and manage all the “stuff” while trying to maintain a semblance of order. I also know how mentally and physically overwhelming it can be when the “things” and “stuff” get out of hand, leaving you feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I can't recommend Alycia enough, we moved into our new home & she came the day after the movers came to help me unpack / organize the kitchen. I was so impressed I called her back to do our playroom as well! She follows the best methods for organization & I wouldn't have been able to unpack and get settled / organized in my home without her. If you want to eliminate the stress in your life from moving (or just reorganizing) you need to book her!

Simplified Solutions is the real deal! I’m so happy we hired Alycia to help unpack and organize our new home. She turned what felt like a daunting task into something so fun and enjoyable. Alycia is very thoughtful and purposeful with how she organizes things, but also fast and efficient. You’d be surprised at how much you can get done in a short amount of time. It felt like a giant weight was lifted off my shoulders having her in my home!
I had a great experience working with Alycia to organize my upstairs bathroom, bedroom, and guest rooms. She was awesome and super helpful throughout. She understood the importance of allowing me to take the lead in making decisions about how I wanted my life to flow within these spaces.
Despite my tendency to work in different directions, Alycia kept us on track, ensuring that every step we took was purposeful and effective. Alycia from Simplified Solutions was AMAZING! I have been toying with the idea of hiring someone to help me out after a ton of pesky life events that left me feeling soooo unorganized, cluttered and overwhelmed! Alycia came in and with a wave of her magic wand (Jk it was hard work) sorted through all my belongings, created zones, labeled boxes and so much more! She even helped me set up areas for me to work on my art, a separate area for my programming job and another area for my little clothes selling side hustle. Did I mention she also reorganized all my cupboards, closets and pantry?!
She was not only an absolute pleasure to have in my home, she also takes the time to get to know her clients and has an incredible knack for organizing things in a way that just makes sense.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The hourly rate for a great pro organizer can seem daunting at first. This might cause some potential clients to think “I’ll just save myself some cash and tackle the project when I get some time”. In the meantime, the disorder grows, the overwhelm grows, and the frustration grows. I believe the mental, physical and emotional peace that results from an efficient decluttering and organizing project is priceless.
A great pro organizer will include some bonus benefits in their hourly rate. For example, my hourly rate includes:
-Hauling away your unwanted trash and charitable items.
-The ability to lead the project from beginning to end. This is why you hired me! Not only for my help but for my planning and vision.
-I quickly and efficiently sort and categorize for you and you decide what stays and what goes!
-Shopping for any necessary containers and products on your behalf.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to their needs. I try to pinpoint the areas within their space that are causing the biggest overwhelm so that I know which area to focus on first in order to alleviate the most stress. We communicate a start-date that works for both of our schedules. I work side-by-side with my client during the project in order to get their input in what stays, what goes to trash and what gets donated. I don’t try to dominate the situation by telling them what they should do with their belongings. I listen to what they want and I work with that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don’t believe pro organizing is necessarily “taught” and does not require special licensing or education. I believe some people have the natural ability to spatially visualize what makes sense and where. A great organizer is able to coach their client through this process and help them decide how to maintain their new organization system.
