My wife and I contracted Jesse from Home Transformations to build us a front porch. We had a certain look that we were looking for and Jesse did an excellent job in achieving that goal. The finished deck looks beautiful overall, and we’re happy with the final appearance. However, I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for an issue my wife noticed after the Trex decking had already been installed. The support boards were spaced 24 inches apart, which caused the Trex boards to flex and bend between them. Thankfully, my wife caught the problem and brought it to his attention before it became a bigger issue. His response was that this was the same spacing he normally used for wood decks.
To his credit, he fixed the problem and adjusted the spacing to 12 inches apart. We also decided to add extra boarding around the deck, which he completed for an additional charge. In addition, we had to spend another $300 to rent equipment for digging the holes. While the final result turned out great, the project ended up costing more than the original quote. I would recommend making sure you get a clear and detailed quote in writing before the work begins.
Now we’re just waiting for all of our patio furniture to arrive so we can complete the look and fully enjoy the space.

Jessie did a nice job and worked extremely hard. Unfortunately, he did not get to the bottom section of my basement as promised. He offered to stay to complete it, but it was already 8:30pm. It would have cost an additional $250 for him to come back. This is why I wanted him to look at the job rather than just pictures.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1)**************************************** for me to look at your project.
Step 2)At the appointment, I will take pictures, measurements, draw out a rough layout of floorplan and any changes to the floorplan, go over your ideas and talk about options.
Step 3) I will put together a material list and labor cost. I will contact you with your estimate for the project.
Step 4) Begin work!

I have 15+ years of experience. I have owned my own business for 8+ years. I am a Licensed Builder. I have done just about everything you can do on a home.
