Always faithful came out and trained all 3 of our Golden Retrievers. By the 2nd session my husband and I thought, what happened to our dogs? It was like night and day with them. They were listening to us because they knew we were the pack leader now. They were not jumping on people when they came to visit us and they were not barking at every little thing that went by. They are loveable dogs and so well mannered now. But just remember, just because the sessions are done, doesn't mean the training is over, constant repetition on what you were taught to do with your fur babies makes it better for them to listen to you. My Morkie, Preston, is 5 years old and kept getting more and more aggressive, starting to bite people, walked horrible on a leash, and slowly turned into continual barking for no reason. So much so that I was fearful that I was going to have to put him down. I have had two other dogs (a Sheltie and a Pomeranian) until they passed and never had a dog behave this way. My heart was breaking.I called a dog trainer in the Alpena area and they said they don't deal with aggressive dogs but recommended Leanna with Always Faithful Dog Training. We came up with a date and as the time approached Preston was getting worse reinforcing the feeling in my stomach that I was going to have to put him down.Our date came and Leanna did the intake, we discussed the issues, and then did a training session. She said that he is insecure and anxious not aggressive. She packed a LOT in during that time but it helped me understand what I needed to do to help my dog have the confidence he needs and for him to realize that I am his leader, not the other way around. After those few hours together I could already see a difference in his behavior and the aggression was a little better. We still have a lot of homework to do for him to be a truly happy boy but I believe, with the education and follow up with Leanna, we will have a happy household again.He is learning Place. In less than 24 hours he has learned the command for Sit and Lay Down. He already knew Stay so that helped. We are working on some agility stuff and getting him to understand that he can only sit with me on the furniture when invited. He's a quick learner on most things so that helps. I know we can do this as we had an amazing teacher.I truly can't thank Leanna enough. She knows dogs and how to help them to be happy. It's so important for the owners to be responsible and engaged.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer several packages for private, in-home training based upon customer needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we schedule a home assessment of the dog, to meet with the owner and the dog to determine how best we can help. Prices are listed on the website. There is a consultation fee, but it is rolled into the package when you sign up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All trainers are trained by our Master dog trainer. Our Master dog trainer has trained over 10,000 dogs and each trainer must meet a minimum qualification of dog handling with senior trainer, prior to training on their own. We also receive on-going education and support from our Master trainer to guide our methods for any unfamiliar behavioral issues we need to address with our clients' dog.
