Introduction: With its state-of-the-art, reality-based systems, the Tactical Self Defense (TSD) provides personal protection solutions for everyone in society whether you are a civilian, police officer, security specialist or soldier. TSD is an eclectic self-defense system that combines karate, wrestling, judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, modern arnis and boxing. Commando Krav Maga is also offered. Classes address real-life scenarios like chokes, weapon disarming and ground attacks. Are you interested in learning more about our methods, classes, or if Commando Krav Maga is right for you? Contact us, or come visit/observe one of our sessions. Class listings can be found on our Facebook page. Our facility is state of the art, with bathrooms/showers to clean up after a hard workout, and an extra large dojo floor with pads. We encourage participation from any shape, size, and age, 14 and up. The instructor has a Level 5 Commando Krav Maga certification (highest female level in Michigan), a black belt in Goju-Ryu karate under the instruction of Sensei S. Larioza, and a white belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the instruction of Ryan Fiorenzi (highest black belt in Michigan). Public and private classes are offered.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I felt the need to empower people of ages 14 and up to learn to defend themselves. Specifically college bound students and women.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Tactical Self Defense is the only school in the area that offers an ecclectic style of self defense. We combine martial arts with MMA and Commando Krav Maga. Our teaching technique is in a laid back atmosphere with many different shapes, sizes and ages 14 and up. Our dojo is state-of-the-art with bathrooms/showers and air-conditioned. The instructor is the highest ranked female in Michigan-Level 4 certification in Commando Krav Maga, black belt in Goju-Ryu karate and white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
