I called and scheduled an appointment with Income Tax Wizard prior to tax day - on Friday, April 12 to be exact. I was called a few hours prior to my appointment letting me know theyre electricity was out and that they would have to cancel. The lady who called reassured me that if she wasnt able to get me in by Monday, which she said wasnt likely, she would make sure that they filed an extension an extension for us and not to worry. So I didnt. She said she would call back as soon as theyre electricity came back on. She didnt.Not only did she not, but my phone calls and voicemails - both to the office directly and to the number she had called me from - were completely ignored. I was forced to find another Tax Preparer on Tax Day, which was stressful and could have been avoided had I not been blown off by this establishment.I never leave negative reviews and despite being neglected by this business, feel bad for writing this. I understand this happened during the craziest time of the year for the industry, but I deserved at least a response - even if they could no longer deliver the promised product. I am now looking at paying additional fees and penalties due to the extension and its unfortunate that it could have been avoided had this business been more responsive and professional.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We were without power for couple of days and had a lot to do by the April 15 deadline. You got lost in the process and I appologize that we were not able to take care of you. I hope you found a solution for the late filing. The penalties can usually be abated if you call the IRS and have not had prior instances of past penalties. The number is 800-829-1040.

We offer excellent value for your money. Our focus is on personal, individual service using the latest technology and up to date information to make tax season a positive experience.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to meet new customers face to face so that they are comfortable with me and my staff. They can then ask any questions or address concerns, discuss pricing and be assured that we will meet their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years experience and IRS RTRP certification through the Annual Filing Season Program required annually in order to maintain the credential with the Internal Revenue Service.
