FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are two factors in pricing. The first is the speed in which the clients want it and the amount of time it will take me to help them get it. So lets say a client says I want to restructure my company so I don't have to come into work anymore and I want it done is two months. That's a huge job. It's most probably a goal that can be accomplished but there will be a ton of work on my part and the clients part to make sure they can not come into work and feel comfortable the company won't go bankrupt in the process. Now lets say a client says I want to land a certain client. That's an easy one and we would do the first one on an hourly basis and the second one on a fixed fee because it took less time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing we need to do is identify what it is the customers really want. I've had people tell me they want to own their own business. I ask why and they tell me so they can make $200,000 a year. Well there are a lot businesses where the owner doesn't make $200,000 and in fact they make nothing or close to nothing. So then I ask them why they need $200,000 a year and they inevitable tell me because they want a Porsche and a big house and a swimming pool. So what they really want has nothing to do with starting a business or earning $200,000 a year. Once you narrow down the goal then narrow it down again and narrow it down again you'll get to what the client really wants then we'll move to make that happen.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
