- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My system is simple, I charge a straight fee (no sitting fees), provide a disc with all the photos taken (including touch ups) and I create a photobook with some of the shots so the couple can see immediate results. I will put together a photo packet upon request but feel that often times many more photos are created than wanted and it increases the cost of my services. I prefer to allow couples or families to choose the shots they like best and make the size of packages that fit their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am registered with many online organizations such as CreativelLive.com, Adobe photoshop classes that allows me to learn new techniques, tweek the skills I have and to add dimension to my work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have loved taking pictures since I was young. Having 2 daughters who were very active in sports allowed me the opportunity to be that mom who always had the camera. Once they graduated and went on to college I began shooting senior pictures of their friends' siblings. I then was fortunate to shoot a friend's wedding and I was on my way to my dream job!
