Established in 1925 under the direction of Alex Joseph Danboise, our first shop was located in Detroit at Grand River and Spokane. It was a combination plumbing and hardware shop! The company has grown and moved over the last seven decades to accommodate our customers and the changing needs of our business. The owners of A.J. Danboise Son, Inc., Jack and Carol Gatewood, have grown up in this company and it has grown and expanded greatly since its early days, as well. First and foremost, A.J. Danboise Son, Inc. is a family owned business. It is important for our employees to be "one of the family" and promote that image to our customers, because even though the company keeps growing and changing, a feeling of family will always be at the heart of A.J.
