About
We make absolutely sure we know what the customer wants before starting a job, although in many cases people don't know exactly; they just want pictures taken. In those cases I show people examples of my previous work and ask if any of those might be close to what they would like. My wife and I work together to photograph weddings. She's able to take shots of the bride as she gets ready, something I wouldn't be able to do. Meeting new people. I've made many friends from jobs that I've done. And frankly, even though we're working, we still see weddings as fun.

We hired Elliott Sturm To photograph our daughter's wedding on September 19, 2015. He quoted us a price that we felt was more than reasonable. He met with the engaged couple several months prior to the event in order to get an idea as to what type of pictures they would like to have. Since they were out of state, the rest of the correspondence was done by Email, which went well. We kept Elliott updated as the planning progressed which he appreciated. He asked to attend the wedding rehearsal the day before in order to learn where he would best be able to capture the day. (This was at no additional charge for us). On the day of the event, he arrived on time with 2 assistants to help photograph. He was able to capture the pre wedding photos of both the bride and groom as well as the guests arriving. We love the candid photos of the bridal party entering as well as the typical posed group photos taken after the ceremony with the family members. Since we live in a lovely resort town we hired a trolley to take the wedding party to several picturesque sites. Elliott was able to get some great shots with Lake Michigan in the background as well as gardens and parks. These were my personal favorite. At the reception we wanted to have a photo of EVERYONE. He has a great technique to insure there are no closed eyes. It is an awesome picture. Elliott worked through most of the reception so we have great pictures of the speeches, first dances and cake cutting. He was happy to stay as long as we needed him. He provided a link for us to view the photos and did provide us a touch up option for an additional fee. I highly recommend Personality Photo for your special event.

We couldn't be happier. Our wedding was planned out of town, so we had to choose based on feeling - we made the right choice! Having 2 professional photographers was huge, they were able to capture so many in the moment pictures, which in our opinion make for the best memories. Elliot and Kathy were both an absolute pleasure to work with and went way above and beyond expectations. We would gladly hire them again for other family events and recommend them to family and friends.

Elliott took portraits of the City's Commissioners, staff, and Mayor. This was the first time we had undertaken such a task, so we didn't know exactly what we wanted. Elliott was flexible and accommodating. This project was a first for him also. While we had some bumps with the lighting for the first session, Elliott returned for a second session and completed the project beautifully. He is conscientious and felt it important that we were entirely satisfied. Elliott was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him for any photography project.

I had the pleasure of working with Elliott when he was the House Photographer for a producing organization that had hired me to direct a production of The Wizard of Oz. Elliott was an absolute gentleman, a true pro, and a pleasure to work with, but I really fell in love with him when he made a second and third visit to our little play of his own accord just to make sure that he had pictures of the two characters that were double cast (so that they wouldn't be left out). How sweet! Oh - and the pictures! They are nothing short of spectacular! Elliott seems to have a knack for shooting at that very instant when the actor is the most engaged and vibrant. His pictures are transport you right to the play's heart in a thrilling way as a result.
