In 2006, I started WaterWork Plumbing as a side job to the 9-5 I had working for another plumber. I am honored and humbled to realize that dreams do come true with hard work and the help of a great team. We are first and foremost a service company. This is absolutely the WORST service I've ever received! I bought a house in Ferndale (from out of state), I gave them 4 very specific things I needed to have looked at/done - my sister met the plumber at the house...in 15 minutes he decided that the issue was something from the main line, refused to look at any of the other issues I addressed, talked to my sister like she was an idiot (we both grew up in a family of construction, so we are ANYTHING but idiots with regard to the functioning of a house), and left...$165 later, nothing was handled...AND because he chose to NOT do what I asked, my house would have blown up if I hadn't had another plumber come into the house...the tenant I had to evict, cut off the water line to the water heater and turned it up to the highest setting...THANK GOD I HIRED SOMEONE ELSE!

This review was posted over 4 months after the date of service. I invite Nicole to return the phone call I made to her this morning to discuss this review further. We looked up the record and see that we cabled the sewer at this house. We were unable to open the sewer as we pulled back clay and a large amount wipes and prophylactics. We gave a referral to have the sewer repaired. The house was completely trashed, perhaps due to the tenant that Nicole speaks of evicting? We spoke with Nicole's father throughout the job over the phone. They wanted to check for leaks in crawlspace but it was our opinion that the damaged sewer needed to be the first priority. They didn't really want us to investigate the crawlspace, asking at one point "cant you just look through the cracks in floor"? Obviously this wasn't an option. We weren't asked about the water heater. The invoice was signed that the client was completely satisfied before paying the bill in full. We had no knowledge that she and her father were unsatisfied as this is the first time we have heard from them since September 14th, 2017 (today is January 17th 2018). We can assure you that the plumber who did this job (John) has never had been accused of being disrespectful to any clients in the multiple years he has worked for WaterWork Plumbing.

I was having an issue with overflow whenever we'd run a load of laundry. Arnie came over and took a look, and after giving it a few shots, thought we might not be able to clear the block. But Arnie gave it one more shot and was able to get far enough for us to find the cap outside! Because of Arnie not giving up on this cause, I'm happily able to report everything drains properly and I couldn't be a happier customer. In addition to his top notch service, Arnie also taught both myself and my dad a lot about the history of plumbing in the area and how that affects my house, given that my house is older. Thanks so much for everything! Couldn't have asked for a more informational and positive experience!

Chris and Brian spent all day replacing my 70 year old steel water pipes. They arrived proptly at 9AM with all of the material and tools they needed, ripped out all the old pipes, installed all of the new ones, and then cleaned up as if they were never there. Just because they were nice, they fixed the drain plug in my bathroom sink and replaced an old water spicket on the outside of my house, both at no charge. They stopped to explain to me what they were going to do every time they started a new part of the project, asked for my opinion whenever there was a decision to be made, and answered all of the questions I had. They stayed at my house longer than we anticipated, but did not exceed the priced that they quoted me for, even though they probably should have since they worked for 10 hours basically non-stop (without complainaing even once). Chris and Brian are expert professionals who I plan to call the next time I need a plumber. They gave me a great deal, I wish I would have bought them lunch.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
By the time a customer has reached out to us, they have likely done their research by reading the hundreds of reviews we have online from all the major review sites. Or maybe they were referred from another satisfied client of ours. We are happy to meet you and hope to establish a long business relationship. Beyond that, things are a snap. Let us know what day and times you are available. Most days we can provide same day service. We offer Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 and Saturday from 9 to 3. Our first call is a guaranteed arrival of 9 and then window times of 11-1, 1-3 and 3-5. Same on Saturday except we don't offer a 3-5. Having trouble after hours? No problem! We offer emergency service 24-7. Let us know how we can help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are multiple licenses for plumbers. To own a plumbing company an individual must have both a plumbing contractor and master plumber license. To become a master plumber an individual must first be a registered apprentice for three years and then pass a state test to become a journeyman plumber. A journeyman plumber can become a master plumber if they can pass a state test after being a journeyman for two years. All licensed plumbers must take periodic code update classes administered by the state. A licensed plumber can also hold auxiliary licenses. The most common is a backflow certification. This is training to test, install and repair devices that are designed to protect the public's potable from cross contamination. This license also must be obtained through schooling and a test administered test.
