FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing system is this..... If you are coming in for 1 or 2 hours there is a 100 minimum 50% deposit. If you are coming in for a day (minimum 5 hour block) it is $40 an hour If you are coming in to do an ep (5 song or greater) it is $350 a day (10 hours minus lunch) If you are coming in to make a full album 6 plus songs it is $325 a day (10 hours minus lunch) If you are coming in to make a serious record full production on a click track with overlayed synths undermasked vocal tracks over dub guitars etc etc etc.....we charge $300 per day. (10hours minus lunch) This is an extensive process that will take alot of time....now if we get over 100 hours we drop down to $25 an hour, because we want you to have the best product and not cut corners.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuously researching new techniques and staying up to date with some things....others the gear just isn't built like it used to be. It's a 50/50 We base alot of our mic techniques and engineering based on physics and relativity theory when it comes to space time....so take that for what it is worth.....
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started oil painting when I was 6 years old and I decided then that I would never do anything that I didn't love to do ever again. To accumulate this much knowledge takes time....years....you can go to school for it but to be honest in my line of work I have met several graduates from many different audio trade schools but the best engineers I have ever heard and I am talking world touring engineers responsible for pretty much every record and tour you have ever seen or heard....learned from other engineers coming up on the road and studios throughout the world..... See there is no curriculum to train your ear..... and without that......you are just another guy with a laptop and garage band......
