Took my computer back with him and didn't do anything that I asked. Got conflicting stories why my computer wouldn't handle windows 11. Finally showed up with my computer, just inside the 2 day window he promised, and hooked up my printer as originally requested, and charged me full price. Would not recommend.

Details: PC • Desktop • Clicking or grinding noise from hard drive • My home, venue, etc.

Yes, it is true I do not charge for research or automation. But if you force me to babysit an automated process, I have to charge time and materials. You made the decision to allow me a good logical decision to allow me to take it to my lab. As stated, there were two issues. 1. Main issue was getting administrator access. I was locked out of all of the PC administrator functionality for a full day. 2. Although the PC was purchased in the first week of April 2021 (according to part timestamp). It was a factory refurbished 2017 computer. As stated I suspected it could not be upgraded to Windows 11 because in general computers over 5 years old could not. Although it had all the correct components, I thought there was a slight chance it could because it was refurbished 4 years ago, but could not identify for certain without administrator access as most of the features were not available. When your previous administrator finally gave the admin password to me, we found out it could not be upgraded as the technology was obsolete. You made the decision and stated you no longer wanted anything done except setup your printer and get you back to operational status. I honestly think you made a good decision not to do anything else to the PC and just get a new one as it was obsolete and not much else could be done. Since you made good logical decisions when I explained it, it was clear you understood everything in response to what was discussed. The description above seems like you tried to explain it to somebody else and could not. Your complaint above omits the status reports, your role, and that it was your good logical decision not to do more. I only charged you the minimum 1st hour work for 2 hour drive time and setting up the printer because that is what you received. Full price would have included research to discover that parts were switched out and that the PC was actually refurbished.
