- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, base price ($275) covers the inspection of a 1,000 sf home plus the basement. Over 1,000 sf? Add $25 / 500 sf increment. Crawl spaces add $40. I can also test for Radon ($85). Check my website. I often have specials running for homes in the Greater Lansing Area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to provide the client with as much information as I can about the property conditions. I prefer that they be present for the inspection and welcome their questions as we progress. My inspections are very thorough and will generally take 2 1/2 to 3 hours so I don't want to prolong the process but more important than the time is that the client has the information they need to make an informed decision.

Yes, InterNachi provides certification courses and continuing education courses. I am a fan of both.
