We were really glad we hired Randy to do our home inspection. Randy was certified and knowledgeable, not only for general inspection, but for pest, mold and radon inspections as well. He did a thorough and detailed inspection on the roof and showed us what and where the problems are, backed with solid evidence. Randy also did a lot of followup work after the inspection to help us answer questions to insurance company. He was always quick to respond. Randy truly took the surprise out of our home buying experience. He was a pleasure to work with! We'd definitely go to Randy again for future home inspections. And would recommend him to anyone we know.

As I was looking for someone to inspect my new home, I couldn't help but notice all the prices being way too high. Then I came across Randy. He was amazing and reasonable! He was there within a day or two, whenever I needed him. He had told me the whole inspection would take two-three hours, and he spent a little under five hours total! He was very precise and did an amazing job. He took time out to explain to me what needed fixing and why. He did not just skim around, he crawled and climbed! After the inspection I left with a whole booklet of notes and summaries of what was looked at and how the condition was. In a matter of days Randy sent me all the pictures he had taken, edited with arrows pointing to the problem and reason why. He even went above and beyond and still emailed me things about my house days after the inspection. I would recommend Randy to anyone! He was amazing and did a nice and thorough job! I am so thankful I chose him! Thanks again Randy!

Mr. Leak was extremely nice, right on time, thorough and professional. He inspected a modular home for me and even crawled underneath to check the floor from the outside. Not to mention he drove an hour one way for this job. I highly recommend him.

I feel fortunate to have been able to hire Randy. He completed a home inspection for us, which we could not be present for. He was very quick to schedule and we even received the report the same day! Plenty of pictures were provided along with a detailed evaluation. Randy understood what we needed and went above and beyond to assist us.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, base price ($275) covers the inspection of a 1,000 sf home plus the basement. Over 1,000 sf? Add $25 / 500 sf increment. Crawl spaces add $40. I can also test for Radon ($85). Check my website. I often have specials running for homes in the Greater Lansing Area.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to provide the client with as much information as I can about the property conditions. I prefer that they be present for the inspection and welcome their questions as we progress. My inspections are very thorough and will generally take 2 1/2 to 3 hours so I don't want to prolong the process but more important than the time is that the client has the information they need to make an informed decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, InterNachi provides certification courses and continuing education courses. I am a fan of both.
