Introduction

I only tutor remotely - not in person. Summer Tutoring is open!! I’m excited. I’ve seen such amazing growth of students over the summer. Maybe because there’s less pressure and it’s so much more relaxing for everyone. But summer is a great time for both catching up or getting prepared for the next grade. I’m accepting students ages 12 & up My openings: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 4 PM EST 8 AM - 3 PM CST 8 AM - 2 PM MTN 8 AM - 1 PM PST Each & every student's progress is important to me. I work hard putting Zoom Whiteboards that fit the math skills students are studying. Together we review these concepts & work problems until the student can successfully work them on their own. I've successfully tutored College and high school Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, pre-Calc & Trig, middle school math, SAT / ACT test prep students & GED math. **** I have a masters in Mechanical Engineering and have been helped my own 3 kids with their math for over 2.5 decades. I’ve been tutoring others in math for over 3 years.

I’ve learned more from Vickie in 16 hours or so then I’ve learned from any college algebra class that I’ve taken. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payment is due by the end of each week of tutoring or can be paid in advance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk a little about the the issues the student might be having with the material and my expectations for both the student (and parents, if applicable). For middle school students, parental invovlement is crucial. I find that tutoring works best when I am presenting the same material as is the teacher. For this to happen, I need periodic updates or the teachers term curriculum maps. Of course, we will take time out during a session to further review & work problems on individual concepts students are stumbling on that are necessary to support their current unit. Math concepts are like a pyramid and we will work together to improve the foundation as well as master the new concepts students are learning!

I've been tutoring part time for a few years and well as years of experience helping my own kids.
