- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started doing design work at a concrete company I worked for 13 years ago. We needed a catalog and other promotional materials done so my boss bought me my first copy of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher! From there I took classes and really fell in love with it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with all sorts of customers, from bar owners, to drag queen pageant directors, to beer reps. I mainly work in the beverage industry, designing posters, banners and flyers for bars and most recently became an event designer and social media manager at a local nightclub that specializes and are locally famous for their theme nights. I design all their specialty drink menus, web blasts, photo backdrops and promotional banners and posters. You can see a lot of my work the past year at SpiralDanceBar.com
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I love the days of the club kid and was hired to come up with the concept and design promo materials for a Disco 2000 Emergency Room party. I made the menu, photo backdrop, web blast, banners and a mock pharmaceutical pad for prizes. It was a blast to see everyone really into the theme and dressed up in front of my work.
