- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continually looking into seminars in my area that directly will have an affect or influence in my line of work. I am always open to reading new research in Psychology Today mag...my favorite reading material.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was very supported in my family to pursue my passions and I always have had a place in my heart for others and a special capability to be able to put myself in their shoes -so to speak- I treat everyone equally. My ability to be in the present moment and empathize allows me to connect well with others who are hurting or need to be heard.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I will provide transportation to and from our meeting, I aid in activities of daily living if needed, assist with locating housing and how to apply for Section 8 as well as applying for funeral benefits & entitlements. I can locate local support groups, precertify for insurance coverages of short or long term treatment reccomendations as well as co-facilitate groups, present program information to national Conferences, help clients to lobby and advocate for themselves regarding legal issues involving representation at the state representative level. Link families to Purple Heart/Salvation Army and other charitable organizations as well as food bank finders.
