Jeffrey and his company, JLR Landscaping, did an excellent job on our project. There were many different things we wanted addressed, including tree removal and planting, rebuilding a rock wall with new materials, putting in paver walkways in the front and the back of the house and reseeding our entire back yard. Jeffrey was very responsive to all of our inquiries, had great design ideas and began the work the day after we signed off on the project. All members of the work crew were very professional and good at their jobs. The work was completed in about a week and a half. We highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs.

JLR is absolutely phenomenal to work with. They ripped out my old deck, removed three huge trees, installed an entire drainage system for my backyard and installed a beautiful stone patio. They don’t just do quality work, they give peace of mind. Jeff, the owner, communicates so effectively and his team was efficient, attentive to the smallest details and went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were taken care of. JLR took a major reno job that several other contractors refused. Some even cancelling the week the project was to start. I called JLR on Wednesday, they provided a quote on Thursday, and started on Monday. Everyday they started at 8am without fail and worked long days to complete in a week. They gut the wooden deck, concrete ramp leading from walk up basement to backyard and two crumbling cinderblock retaining walls. They built the most beautiful steps (with built-in lights), pillars, retaining walls and paver patio. They also cleaned up and added lights to all of my flower beds and landscaping. Can’t recommend JLR enough!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We will work within your budget. We cannot control the cost of materials, but we can come up with unique solutions to fit our clients' needs and desires. We even offer multi-phased projects, we will build the project to be functional at each stage, leaving room & keeping in mind that more will be added to the project down the road. This allows our customers to enjoy the project and see it transform over the years at a pace they are comfortable with.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we like to get to know the new customer, learn about how they intend to use the outdoor space, and discuss options such as material choice, color, design aspects, and go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
More than two decades of building brick paver patios in and around Oakland County. Delivered results, both Residential and Commercial projects. During that same time period, we've also completely revamped landscapes, built numerous outdoor kitchens, bars, retaining walls, steps & stairs, walkways & pathways, landings & porches and more. We work closely with the brick supply yards and manufacturers to bring to each project the latest & greatest in materials and workmanship.
