FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a 2hr Minimum for EVERY job that we perform, regardless of the job length. We also have a small travel charge to cover our gas to and from the job. Any job that exceeds 2 hours will be charged in 15 minute increments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Always greet with a handshake. Introduce myself and my employees. Assure the customer that we will make sure everything is handled with care. We always listen to our customers requests and like to make them feel safe and at ease. Upon arrival to a customers home, we introduce ourselves, then have the customer give us a walk-through of their home and show us everything that they would like us to move for them. After the walk-through process is complete, we put the moving truck into position, adjust the ramp to its appropriate location, then we start the loading process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No certification is required to be a professional mover. Only proper training from experienced professional movers AND time will help you to become one step closer to being a professional mover. Many things are taken into consideration when discussing what makes a mover "professional". Personally I feel that it starts with Customer Service. You have to know how to talk to people, communication is key. Listen to the customers expectations and provide the proper responses. Next, I feel experience goes a long ways. Strength, endurance, determination, and how you handle in stressful and climatic situations are also key things to look for when determining professionalism.
