FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm happy to work for an hourly rate doing time and material. This is especially nice on small projects or a project where the boundaries are not clearly marked out ahead of time. I'm also happy to bid work and get paid by the project completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet people face-to-face, hear their goals, look at their project, discuss the details, and formulate a plan moving forward that we're both happy about.... if we can't reach a mutual agreement that's satisfying to both parties, it's best to find out sooner thsn later and move on before there are any difficulties in the relation ship. Sometimes, a phone call and/or a couple pictures shared can save us the hassle of meeting face-to-face, if we already realize we're not the best fit for each other. I always aim for 100% customer satisfaction, which begins when immediately with any customer, big or small.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
No formal schooling for me, at least not in the trades. I did go to college for several years but that was pursuing other areas of Interest. I am a learner; I pay attention and watch the people I have worked with in the past, especially in the first couple of years, and I'm still learning new skills. I plan to be a lifelong learner, so I still ask questions and remember what people teach me.
