Introduction: I was born and raised in Michigan and moved six times in 13 years with two toddlers! From Ohio to Michigan, Michigan to Georgia (sold first house; downsized and flipped second house), from Georgia to New Orleans and then back to Michigan. I know, and lived, the stress of moving; I understand the importance and the difficulty of having your home 'show ready' at any given moment for those prospective buyers! Looking back over my childhood, I recall how I used to look around a room and wonder "why this was here or that was there and how it would look better over there." On top of rearranging our annual cottage rentals and personal living room and basement, I used to clean and rearrange my bedroom on a weekly basis. My mom loved it! So after returning to my hometown in 2014, my husband encouraged me to turn my passion and experience into a business and help others navigate through these same 'moving' waters. And I did just that and haven't looked back! I am a certified Professional Property Stager and am a member of the Real Estate Stagers Association. I work hard to bring the seller(s) relief while having fun helping them prepare their home for the competitive housing market. I have an eye for decor and efficient space planning, whether it's a vacant or occupied home. And sometimes clients are not moving but want to update their home for their own enjoyment! It may not necessarily mean ripping out every wall but making changes that freshen up their current space through paint, new flooring, furniture, lighting, and/or accessories. I am a good listener, detail-oriented and observant when helping clients create their own personalized space, on a budget. I am grateful to do what I do.

I am SO glad I found Sharon to work with on decorating ideas and interior design! Not only does she have an eye for what will look good in my 1929 tutor house, she also has a great personality and went above and beyond in trying to help me with different options and decisions and gave me a free consultation which I did not expect. She is very professional and good at what she does, and will save you $$$ and keep within your budget. I highly recommend Sharon and will use her again for design advice - or home staging or selling my house since she's also a realtor! Thanks Sharon, you're a Godsend!!!

So impressed with the help off Thumbtack, Inc. I found a very reputable home deigsner at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed working with Sharon who was very flexible and she always found time to fit into my busy schedule. Sharon completed living room, family rm and kitchen makeover. Furniture, rugs, tables and accents all new and under my projected budget! I was even able to keep some of the accents on a trial basis for a week or so, to see if I loved it or hated it! Sharon and her talents definitely brightened and designed a new living space I could finally settle into!

Sharon did an excellent job in staging our house to sell. The Realators that came through all requested her contact information to recommend in the future. I know it's a sellers market right now. But with in the first 4 days of listing with our house staged we received 2 offers and are selling it at full asking price. We loved working with Sharon. She made the house look exceptional. I would recommend her ina heart beat.

Sharon Schaffer and Revive Home Remakes did an amazing job staging our home! We appreciated Sharon's great personality, her experience and insights, as well as her incredible attention to detail and lightning-fast response time. Sharon was there every step of the way. Couldn't have sold the house that quickly without her. She's the real deal!

Our home went from drab to fab👍😃 Sharon was so easy to work with. She spent time with us at our house, got to know our likes and dislikes and went to work. She stayed in our budget, she shopped with and without us. The decor she bought was brought by her into our home for a trail run. If we liked it we kept it if we didn't she returned. Hardly anything was returned 😃 We just love our make over and would highly recommend her to everyone !! Thank-you so much Sharon!!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Nationwide, Home Staging typically costs 1-2% of list price; however, the seller must remember that all first impressions of their home are made via online photographs. I will schedule a consultation ($50/hour) to meet the client, assess the home to be staged, and follow up with a written outline of staging plans. The cost of staging of your home starts at $1,500.00 and varies with size of project. Glass City Stagers has an inventory of furniture, decor, linens and accessories for staging. HOME DECORATING: Glass City Stagers can help you decorate your space in fresh and updated ways through accessories, paint, window treatments, flooring and tile choices and furniture pieces. This hourly fee is $25.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After making contact with a customer, I schedule a meeting which enables me to physically see the space they'd like staged, decorated or organized/de-cluttered. This meeting enables me to learn decorating styles, personalities, budget, timeline, etc. I then follow up with a written proposal that outlines my ideas and recommendations to stage or decorate this potential client's space.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have completed online and in person courses and am a certified Professional Property Stager and member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), but my vision and inspiration come naturally. I cannot turn it off! Moving as much as we did in a short amount of time, I learned my own "hands on" training quickly.
