FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If I am providing the materials and parts, I do extensive research at various stores in order to find the best deals for the most reliable parts/materials for my customers. I base my prices on how much time is involved, as well as the extensive nature of the job. I truly believe I am always fair and I always give my customer the lowest price I can give...I have no intentions on taking advantage of people. I would like them to be completely satisfied to where they will use me again and refer my business out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I visit the place they want the work done and have them explain to me their "vision". What they want to do, what their ideas are for the space...or if it's a repair or replacement of some kind, I go over what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, my recommendation on the best route to take. I then go home, research the parts and materials and I reach out to the customer within a day or two in order to give them a bid.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Trial and error...work at my own home. I think I surprised myself at how quickly I took to it and how quickly I caught on. I also did a lot of different things at my day job that helped me with the ideas, the know-how and learning the right way to do something.
