Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: About YOU: -You are so busy juggling the responsibilities of your family life and intense career that you barely been able to squeeze in sleeping and eating, let alone exercise. -You are starting to feel the effects this constant go-go-go is having on your body. You are exhausted and distracted, your joints feel stiff, and your back aches from so much sitting. -You have heard good things about yoga, but you are not sure if it will be a good fit for you. - You need actionable, tangible results, not new age BS, and you certainly do not want to waste your time. -If you're going to have a yoga practice, you know you want to see positive change quickly and still keep your schedule, needs and goals in check. About ME: I teach beginner yogis how to create strength, balance, more flexibility and ease in their body and mind so they can be more productive at work, more present at home, and live life fully. We might be the perfect fit for each other if: -You are intimidated by classes and want to learn yoga from a teacher who gets you and can adapt to your body. -Your body is in pain and you've heard yoga can help, but not sure where to start. -Your mind is clouded and frazzled. You think it is possible to feel better, but you a™re not sure how to get there. -You would love to experience the benefits of yoga in a way that is actionable or useful (not woo-woo, new-agey weirdness). The West End Yoga Company offers: PRIVATE POWER HOUR: Personalized 90 minute yoga sessions in the comfort of your home, office, or The Center for Yoga & Massage Studio in Plymouth so that you can experience the benefits of yoga on your schedule. (If you are coming to The Center, days and times of availability may vary depending on other events.) HOW IT WORKS: These sessions are YOURS. I am merely a guide (albeit an inspired, experienced one :) you to go inward to discover your own abilities. Only you know what you need to focus on during our sessions . The categories I provide below are a guide to figure out what is right for you. GROUP SESSIONS: Weekly, ongoing group classes at The Center in Plymouth. HOW IT WORKS: You would be in a group no greater than 10-12 yogis. It is usually full, but this is a great way to get to know me before you decide whether you would like to invest in private sessions. A POWERFUL QUALITY NETWORK: Access to a network of health & life coaching, nutrition advice, massage therapists, and specialized yoga teachers for a range of different ailments. Types of Personalized Yoga Sessions: Yoga for Athletes Includes therapeutic stretching, specific strength training, and posture assessment for running and golf with the intention of performance improvement. The importance of focus and mindfulness is also addressed. Ideal for all kind of athletes and age levels. Therapeutic Yoga Because of my own experience through healing of advanced cancer with yoga, anything is possible when the mind and body are connected. We will use the stilling of the mind through the union of breath and awareness to promote deep physical healing, which can lead to emotional, mental, and spiritual healing.Yoga therapy is for people who have experienced trauma, including cancer, eating disorders, scoliosis¸ herniated disks, and rotator-cuff rehabilitation. Restorative Yoga Creating a grounded and nurturing environment, we will use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to support long held poses and make space for students to rest. Restorative yoga quiets the sympathetic nervous system and stimulates the para-sympathetic nervous system. This allows for true healing, including an improvement in sleep, digestion, focus, and general well-being. Ideal for people who need space and time to let everything go and relax. Prenatal Yoga Prepare for birth by building strength and flexibility to ensure an easier labor and postpartum recovery. This will be both a challenging and relaxing class, intended to empower and inspire. Prenatal yoga can be as active or as restful as you and your baby need. I have been there 3 times, so I know that all mamas can use nurturing, supportive energy.
