Introduction: Dear Future Client,
Thank you in advance for taking the time to learn a bit more about me - your investment in your future, your education, your work, and/or your personal development is not something I take lightly, and I hope you will find this introduction worthwhile.
I am a world traveler with work experience that spans across a broad range of subjects, institutions, platforms and cultures.
I proudly earned my BA in Special Education from Michigan State University's College of Education, where I specialized in Deaf Education and prioritized my teaching major of Language Arts, graduating with Honors.
Since then, it has been my privilege to work with such companies as The Princeton Review and WyzAnt for many years as an instructor and test prep for the ACT, SAT, GMAT, and GRE, along with essay preparation services for both undergraduate and graduate admissions, here in the US and in the Middle East and India. I have tutored clients at various levels of education in general studies, and have also forayed into the world of elementary education in the inner city, teaching a combined third and fourth grade class one year, and a first grade class of over 30 students the next!
Furthermore, I find great joy in editing the personal and professional works of many of my students, friends, and clients, helping them to find beauty in the essence of their expression, as well as to refine the technical aspects of their pieces. I have done this since I myself was in elementary school (a classmate offered me his draft of a fantasy novel to mark up with red pen, and the excitement of such a moment has yet to cease).
I am passionate about education as a whole and the English language particularly, detail-oriented in my approach, and quick to customize every session.
