Sam stopped by the next day. Explained that he was concerned he would break the glass window on the side of our front door if he tried to cut out the rottedn wood. Suggested I could do the job by just getting as much rotted wood out as possible and filling with Bondo. Several videos demonstrated this. Was able to make the repair my self.
