In the end, we are very, very happy with our basement. It is amazing the transformation Kingdom was able to accomplish. We struggled with a grade because while everything Kingdom did was great, we contracted with them and therefore consider them responsible for the subs they chose. Most were great, one was okay, one was a disaster. We were bothered by a couple things:-The quote, while seemingly inclusive, left off things that were needed for code per our city. These ended up being additional costs that were unplanned that could have been easily discovered ahead of time.-This goes along with the first item, but when we contracted with a professional, we assumed (erroneously) that the contractor would know what would be code for renovating a basement in our city. We questioned what R value the insulation would be and were told there wouldn't be any because it wasn't quoted. A five minute phone call to the building department told us we needed at least R11. We technically failed rough plumbing inspection because by code, new renovations must install a backflow valve. Those two items added almost $3000 to our bill. Again, frustrating as the homeowner who hired a professional to handle the nuisance of permits and code.In the end, it was a massive project. We spent a lot of time with these people in our home and spent a lot of money to complete it. Everyone at Kingdom was wonderful and we felt comfortable with them in our home and around our young kids. We're very happy we chose to go with them.

We contracted with Kingdom about a year ago for installation of ceramic tile in our kitchen. They were advised that we wanted the tiles as close together as possible while still allowing for grout. The first guy that came started and the tiles were close together. He was then pulled to go on another job and another installer came. The tiles he placed as he proceeded with the job are further apart than the initial tiles. So some of the grout lines are wider than others. And some grouting is low, other places it is high. Throughout the job, we had to insist that they take up several tiles that they cracked along the side installing and several places where the floor was uneven. We wanted tile underneath the cabinets in the event we got new cabinets. After the cabinets were reinstalled and we removed one of the baseboards, there is a space in the tile where it cracked and they took out the piece but left the space in the tile. Also, I am not sure if enough of the cement base or whatever they put under the tile is enough because several tiles have now cracked in half and have to be replaced. While Chad and the rest of his staff were very nice, it was a rough job in communicating with them. The job took longer than expected, several things we had to insist be redone like uneven tiles and chipped tiles which they know did not look nice. Working with them was tough and lack of communication. For these reasons, I would not recommend them for a ceramic tile job.

I am the proud owner of a NEW roof on my 25+ year old backyard gazebo. The team that arrived right on time, introduced themselves, and began the removal of the old, curled up shingles, which reminded me of a hobbit's house. They discovered, and documented with pictures that there were distressed and deteriorating sheets of OSB under those shingles. Ben, the team leader presented the plan of letting the office know, who then contacted me with an estimate, and back to work they went. The job took more than one day, due to the replacement of the sheeting on the roof, but the shingles look great. I selected a brown that went with the color selected for the recently repainted posts and rails. The scale and size of the shingle does not make the expanse of the roof look out of scale. I am very pleased with the work done by Kingdom Construction; this was my first experience and I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing some work done. Check out their pics of other jobs too!

My husband and I decided to purchased our first home and that purchase was a fixer-upper. The home that we were interested in had been in a bad fire. The damage was mostly cosmetic, thankfully. We got a great deal, but it needed a lot of work. The entire home would be renovated. We decided to use an FHA 203k Renovation loan. This is a unique federal loan and we needed a bank and contractor with experience in order for the process to be as smooth as possible. Kingdom Construction & Remodel was our choice since they quoted within our budget and were very friendly. They were professional and knowledgeable of our special loan which gave us comfort. Kingdom also has secretaries that handle the communication, (Peggy and Crystal) Brian handles the finance side, and Chad, the project head. The initial start of the process went smoother than we expected. We had all of the paperwork done and renovation started mid Dec. 2016. The job was done by different sub-contractors hired by Kingdom. They only thing we had an issue with was communication. There were times we contacted Kingdom for updates and it would take a week for a response. There were a few times the home sat dormant for weeks and we just wanted explanations. The ordering of materials and product selection process seemed a bit scattered, but we got it done. Overall, we are happy with the work done on the home. The work is so good that the neighbors are asking who did it. There were a few hiccups, which we hear is normal in this type of situation and there were a few repairs in the home that needed to be fine-tuned which they took care of. There were a few things that were missed like our screen for the back door, which we are still awaiting repair.Kingdom is a good company and I hope they learned from working from us, as we gained knowledge of contractor partnership and renovation from them.
