We had the absolute pleasure of having Mark photograph our wedding at the end of October. He kindly and effortlessly told us how to pose without leaving us feeling awkward. He came prepared with everything needed for our outdoor ceremony. He quickly switched back and forth on equipment to adjust to the ever shifting cloud coverage that could have caused shadowing. Our photos came out beautifully and the turn around time was so quick. We will definitely continue going to Distinctive Portraits for our photography needs!

This was the best experience with a photographer. I never had a professional head shot but Ive done photo shoots. The photographer was kind and instructive and allowed me to be myself and have fun. With the quick turnaround I needed they gave me the best possible product and Im grateful. Ill definitely hire them again!

Our Studio Family photo session with Mark Hearndon of Distinctive Portraits was more than a picture-taking sitting. Mr. Heardon showed insight into making us comfortable for those with stage fright by taking photos with enthusiasm and attention to detail. Mr. Heardons professionalism was impressive, on time, along with an eye for reviewing the color palettes of the subjects and choosing the appropriate backgrounds. Our standard pricing for portrait service is at an competitive hourly rate at $225.00 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple when working with new clients, Have a conversation with them, discuss their vision and use for the portraits. Share with the prospect client what services and products we can provide, then determine if our rates fit the project budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My photography education started with a introductory course at WCCC titled "35mm Photography for Beginners". I went on to continue with the intermediate & advance courses there then attended GLIP (Great Lakes Institute of Photography) where I studied wedding & portrait photography. Following that was countless seminars on fine portraiture.
