EDE Center for Dance

Introduction: We have two locations: Birmingham (2717 Cole Street) and Rochester, Michigan! The EDE Center for Dance opened its doors in the summer of 1995. The Center functions as a base for the nationally traveling professional dance firm, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, whose goal includes education programs and community outreach. The EDE Center for Dance intends to nurture the understanding of dance as an art form by rendering the most superior-quality instruction to students of whatever age. The Center specifies itself from other dance schools by providing classes taught by current and former professional dancers, in addition to a staff of degreed, highly skilled instructors. With a concentration on artistry instead of competition and an anatomically sound training, the EDE Center stands out as the premier dance facility in the Detroit Metro area. The carefully structured curriculum of the school emphasizes the student's artistic and creative development and also technical proficiency. Individually designed classes concentrate on the typical needs of both non-professional and professional dancers. The school provides a nurturing, positive atmosphere appropriate for all ages and levels from children to adults.
