Introduction: I am an Interior Designer and specialize in residential interiors for active empty-nesters (like me)! Homes reflecting your new lifestyle + taste. I am the principal designer and owner of Horizon Interior Design. I graduated from Oakland University in 1998 with a Master in Physical Therapy, and enjoyed a successful career as a therapist. I worked in orthopedics and home care, and found it interesting to see the environments in which my clients lived.
I grew a passion for interiors over the years, yearning to create comfortable and beautiful spaces. I received a degree from the Interior Design program at Baker College in 2016, started my own business and haven't looked back!

I had my home repainted over a year ago, and was looking for someone to help with decorating my kitchen, dining room and living room. (These rooms are very large with no separating walls; and it's an open space with cathedral ceilings.) I wanted to make everything feel colorful and welcoming, but had no idea had to do that myself. Kori was able to provide me with a layout and decorative ideas using interior design software. This was AMAZING as I am a very visual person. Kori was able to help me decide a color palette, wall art, decorative accents, and furniture placement. I was simply mind-blown by the process and how she was able to turn my vision into reality! I would definitely use her again, as well as refer her services.

It has been a truly wonderful experience. Her creativity, intuitiveness and expertise stood out. She can hone in on color tints better than anyone. When the wall color or furniture pieces are installed they all blend beautifully. She not only redecorated my living room, but helped to update the surrounding areas with smaller pieces so it all blended. I plan on doing more with Kori and her team in the near future. Getting on board with Horizon Interior's was one of my better decisions.
