Our experience was nothing less than amazing. My boyfriend and I needed pictures in a short amount of time and right before the holidays. After looking on thumbtack I got a quote the same night from John and not only was this short time frame not a problem but we got a date and time set up almost immediately. We also needed the pictures edited and sent to us before the holiday which wasn't much time, but John said it would not be a problem and even got the pictures to us a few days sooner than we expected. The experience itself was awesome he is such an easy going, funny guy who made the pictures fun even in the colder weather. He had such creative ideas for the photos which turned out better than we could have ever expected. We couldn't be happier with the pictures and we definitely plan on using John again whenever we need photos in the future and are so glad we found him!

We had a fantastic experience with John Richmond last week! He took pictures of our family in front of our new home and also took us to some cool spots around downtown Rochester to capture some awesome images.
Things I liked about him:
1.) John's approach - laid back, but gives direction
2.) John's personality - established great rapport with my 1yo & 3yo and got them to smile naturally and look at the camera
3.) John's rapid-fire photo taking - with little kids, you never know when the stars will align and everyone will be smiling at once. John captured some awesome shots of our family using this rapid-fire approach.
4.) John's responsiveness - from the first time I emailed him, John was quick to respond in a professional, courteous manner. I like his availability via text, phone, email, etc.
5.) John's patience - not only was he patient with my two small children, but he was also understanding and willing to retake shots where I felt self-conscious about one thing or another.
6.) John's attention to detail - from color schemes to stray hairs in the face, John was quick to point out and correct issues as they came up on site and was also able to digitally correct any blemishes after the shoot.
We have found our new family photographer and couldn't be happier!

John is a great photographer who really catches every moment of action. He help keeps the atmosphere fun which helps with wedding nerves! I would recommend john to anyone for any type of photography. Our pictures are awesome and really captured the moments I wanted to capture!
