I am 38 years old. Due to past sports injuries, I have been experiencing a tremendous amount of chronic pain in my hip, and neck. I tried massage, chiropractor, and a shot of cortisol. I tried yoga. I tried doing nothing. I tried low inflammatory diets. The pain continued (although massage and chiropractor provided short term beneficial results). This was extremely troubling, as the pain limited not only my ability to remain active and healthy, but reduced the ability to enjoy life. Nathan introduced me to a new way of thinking--a paradigm shift of sorts--called Functional Range Conditioning (or End Range Conditioning) in which one practices, trains and attempts to build new, stronger tissue inside of the damaged joints. You see, most joints harbor pain due to a lack of use--the neuro-kinetic connection between your brain and the tissue has faded away, no longer takes place, again--due to under use, prolonged sitting, and generally speaking--our modern way of life. Nathan guided me through a series of exercises to begin stimulating and rebuilding the tissue in my hip, and neck. The idea behind the training was to re-connect the mind to the tissue, build newer, stronger tissue, and ultimately bring your range of motion back to the way it is meant to be. I have only been doing the exercises for 3 weeks, and have already seen a significant improvement and reduction in pain. I look forward to putting forth more effort and time towards this process, and achieving even greater and greater results.
