FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, my price is set based on how long I estimate it will take us to complete the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to meet first that way both the customer and I can get a "feel" for each other. Personal comfort levels are important for all. During the meeting, we will discuss ideas and material types to achieve the design outcomes the client has in mind. Then I will submit a quote based on our conversation, with which the customer can hire us or pass. Depending on how large the job is, I generally ask for a deposit if there is a sizable material list. We never accept full payment before the job is done. One would be surprise how often this occurs. Only when the project is complete and the customer is happy with the work will we submit the final invoice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Since 2002, I have been a licensed and insured Builder/renovation contractor. I am also certified to work on projects where lead is known to be present. In addition, I have a Bachelors degree and work part-time as a youth and family pastor.
