Mandarin Chinese Lessons from an actual Teacher

Hello, My name is Christy Mikolajczak, I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and have lived in the U.S. for over 10 years now. I am also an Elementary Special Education teacher in the Avondale School District located in southeast Michigan. I have been tutoring Chinese for about a decade, of all age ranges and proficiencies. I have taught/tutored elementary children, teenagers, and adults from levels as low as beginners, and as high as AP/IB students seeking college credit. I teach/tutor reading, writing, speaking, and listening. This includes reading/writing in both simplified and traditional Chinese. I do mostly virtual tutoring because I can say it's honestly better. Please don't compare it to Covid Learning! One-on-one online is very effective, convenient, and best of all, allows for a great deal of flexibility in terms of scheduling. Many of my students will text me on their lunch break and ask to meet me in the evening because they have a quiz the next morning. With online tutoring, even with that short of notice, it is very likely I'll be able to find the time. Happy learning, Christy
