Hey Ya'll,
My name is Jagger, and I run Lucky Paws Dog Training. I have been training dogs in the Austin Texas area for seven years, and just moved back to Michigan this December! My passion has always been behavioral cases, however I work with dogs from any background and can definitely still help with obedience and puppy stuff, too!
I am certified with the IACP (International Association of Canine Practitioners), I am SMA (Starmark Academy) certified as a Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist, and lastly I am AKC registered as a CGC evaluator!
To keep a very long story short with opening Lucky Paws, my goal was to help individuals on a personal level. Every dog is different, and what can help one family doesn't always help the next. I offer several different training options and use several different "methods" based on what individual dogs need.

I brought my 2 year old Shepard to Jagger and he’s like a new dog. Jackson, my dog, was out of control. He now behaves so much better. Doesn’t try to attack everyone, no muzzle required. Jagger is amazing!! Highly recommend him for every dog owner looking for a little or a lot of assistance with training. I’ve been absolutely amazed with the positive changes in Jackson.

I absolutely cannot recommend Jagger and his expertise enough. He worked truly miraculous wonders with my dogs, Rebellion and Laika. Laika needed obedience training to overcome her husky antics, but Rebellion was a tougher case and needed behavior modification. For years, Rebs suffered high levels of anxiety-driven stress that manifested as aggression, especially with resource guarding. It got to the point where I, at times, had the thought run through my mind of putting him down due to the harm he could potentially do to others, but this was simply not an option I could bear to look into until I knew I had exhausted all other options. I couldn't bring him into situations where there were people or other dogs, which meant I couldn't invite people over without putting him into his kennel in a separate room where he would continue barking. After 4 weeks of behavior modification training with Jagger, I picked up a very well-trained pup whose resource guarding had diminished, and he ended up making a lot of human friends, too! He doesn't react to people or dogs when we're out walking, he stays in his "place", and, above all, he is relaxed and HAPPY. Laika was a major success story as well, but Rebs was the true star of Jagger's abilities and expertise because of where he started. I cannot recommend Jagger enough, and I am forever grateful for the impact he had on my sweet boy's outlook on life, which in turn bettered my life. Thank you, Jagger!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All our pricing can be found on our website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically the first step is a Phone Eval or an In-Person Eval. Which are free of charge. Outside a small millage fee if traveling 30+ Miles which would be credited towards your training package if you sign up!
Private and In-home Lessons are typically coaching you through the motions whereas a board and train program I do most the leg work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have graduated from one of the top programs in the country at Starmark Academy in Hutto Texas. I went through their 12-Week Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist Program as well as a four month Internship program focusing mostly on Behavioral Modification.
I am CGC Certified as well.
