I hired Aaron and Lindsey through Thumbtack to help me prepare a house south of Flint to sell. Aaron was responsive from the beginning and knew exactly how to do everything that needed to be done. He pays close attention to detail and is a perfectionist who was more concerned about getting the job done correctly than about how much time it would take. What impressed me the most was that he made numerous suggestions how to improve on what I asked him to do. For example, I asked him to paint dry lock on my basement walls where there had been some seepage after heavy rains. He not only applied the dry lock where I asked him to do it, but he did all the basement walls and in addition to painting the basement floor where it had been wet, he painted the entire floor and sealed a few cracks in the floor. He also applied grouting to where there was a crack in the wall from the old grouting falling out. He knew what he was doing, and it did it well. Having a basement in good shape in an old house is critical to selling the house. He also regrouted and cleaned very old slate at the entrances to the front and back door. He could only do so much because of the age of the slate but he did it well. He is a meticulous painter and paid attention to detail, which not all contractors and handymen do. I asked him to paint inside window frames and he not only did it well, but he caulked all the new windows that a previous contractor had not done. He changed door handles and deadbolts and rekeyed the locks, so we needed only one key instead of multiple keys. He and his partner cleaned the house top to bottom and made old linoleum and slate shine. From our conversations I know he can do a lot more. He can do carpentry, masonry, painting and more. He and his partner worked well together and were both polite and friendly. After going over his work on Facetime with my wife (we live in Virginia), she asked him to come back and do more which he agreed to do the next day. We had to communicate by phone, but it worked well. I was at the house when he did most of the work and although I had to leave before he came back to do the additional work, he Facetimed us and showed us what he did. My wife, who is more knowledgeable about home repairs than I, was impressed with all the work, but especially the work he did to finish what she had asked him to do. Thus, I highly recommend Aaron and his partner for all sorts of handyman and contracting work.

Aaron is the best repair person that I have ever hired. He is does the most complete job on every project. He shows up on time works efficiently. He power washed then preped and stained my deck. He then built a retaining wall (out of recycled concrete!) It's great work. My neighbors are always complementing his work. Because of that I have had him put new wood flooring in my living room bedroom bathroom and tile flooring in my kitchen. He remolded the bathroom in one day all of it even the walls. He is also great at getting great deals on materials and other things.Everything's looks great. Every project turned out better than I expected. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work on my house I'll never call anyone else. He also cleaned my gutter's for nothing

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not the most expensive nor the cheapest I do very good work. I don't like to leave anything that I wouldn't have in my own house if it's not up to par then I'm not stopping until it is
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First build a rapport with the customer, so I can get a feel for them and what they want and expect there style. Learn the ins and outs of the job as much as possible make sure we are on the same page then give them the best job I can
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a builder and he taught me since I was a child. Any home renovation at the house was always done by him with me at his side that was the start of my learning to build and take proper care of a home
