Osstyn's Handrails responded to me right away. Gave me an estimate that was within the range I was looking to spend. However the quality was far above what I expected. My wife and I just purchased our home. There were a few things we needed for the occupancy- one of which being that spacing on the existing banister was too far apart and a rail needed to be built on the opposite side of a small set of steps into the den. In this market you can’t dictate the seller fix these things, so we agreed to take it on and deal with it ourselves. Well as it turns out trying to manipulate an existing banister is more complicated then you might initially think. It also seems that building the railing is not really straightforward as it appears. We probably could figure out both with enough YouTube videos, but by the time we bought all the materials and tools needed to do it properly we probably might as well have hired someone to do it properly in the first place. I saw Curtis’ work in the pictures and reviews online and thought ripping out the existing banister and replacing it might be the cheapest and quickest option. It wasn’t the cheapest option, but we still went ahead since we liked the style and thought it would fit the house better once we update our kitchen. I told Curtis that we needed to move quickly as we needed this work done for the occupancy and he managed to fit me in fairly quickly. He had a partner he needed to work with to powder coat the material and was able to get us bumped up in the line there as well. The home inspector just came through and said we are all set. Curtis was responsive and courteous and got the job done for quickly and professionally. I don’t think we will need similar work done in this location but if we did I’d certainly work with him again.

Curtis did a phenomenal job installing my new hand rails. He provided great guidance and insights on what I needed to get done. Curtis communicates well and provides a great step by step of what needs to happen in the project. Already hired him for another job!

When I contacted Curtis he responded so quickly I was impressed! He came to my home within days of our first conversation and provided information I was thankful for. Due to another contractors timing, Curtis hasn't installed the railing. He does keep in touch with me and has promised to get the railings in ASAP. I'll update this when he's completed the job, but by his actions thus far, I know he'll do a great job!
