Introduction

I use a combination of empathy and humor. I find that it helps the process of change, which can be daunting in itself. I believe that everyone is different and there is not a magic bean that works on every individual. I believe that we have the answers inside us and as I coach I can assist in helping my clients find them. The conversation turns from "you" to "we". Coaching is a co-creative partnership. I am a dedicated coach. I leave myself open to my clients when they need me outside of sessions. I love people, first. I love learning about them and hearing their insights and perspectives. I love developing with them. The connection I get to experience is like no other. The ultimate is to hear their lightbulbs go off as well. The moment I made a commitment to coaching, I made a commitment to my clients. Their wins are my wins. Their successes are my successes. Their struggles are my struggles as well.

I feel a comfort talking to Doren. She is a good listener and she tells you what you need to hear. I like the practical aspect of coaching versus sitting down with a counselor and just talking about the past and your problems. I look forward to working with Doren in future sessions.

Dori is an amazing coach! Her training and years of experience was proven to be extremely helpful! Her advice and suggestions gave me a sense of confidence and support to set realistic goals so that I could accomplish them. She was always available to talk or meet up when I needed her. She was a vital aspect in my acknowledgement of my issues and implantation of ownership. She helped me devise a plan of action after we had narrowed down the specific issues that needed to be addressed. It has been a year now since we last met and my life has improved drastically! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have three different packages that you are also able to see on my website, along with my relationship coaching packages and premarital package. The pricing listed below is for individual life coaching. I charge by the month. The premium package is $400.00 per month. This includes: 4, 60-90 minute sessions with unlimited contact outside of sessions. The next package is $350.00 per month. This includes: 4, 60 minute sessions per month with limited contact outside of sessions. Package three is $300.00 per month. This includes: 3, 60 minutes sessions with limited contact between sessions. Personalized packages are available as well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin with a free session. Doing this I am able to learn more about you and what you want to accomplish. We both have the opportunity to see if we are a good fit. Trust is imperative in the coaching relationship. Another advantage is that you get a taste of what coaching is and how it works.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University, in psychology. I earned my coaching certification in 2003 from The Institute for Life Coach Training. I am currently receiving my PhD in Human Development from The University for Professional Studies.
