- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every student is different, so there is no typical process. I do require all of my piano students to learn to read music. Voice students are encouraged to learn to see cues in the music to help them learn as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and a local chapter. I perform regularly - that keeps me current.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Piano was my passion from the time I was 9 years old. My piano teacher was my mentor. When I got to college, I was told that I was a singer, after hearing me sing for a required choir class. I didn't believe it but they were right! I'm also still a pianist, and I love teaching others what I know, and learning from the students!
