I had a problem with my inground pool after it was opened in the spring. The skimmer worked fine, but the main drain would not draw water. I contacted American leak detection and a technician, Steve came out to test the system and determined the location of the leak. He later returned for the repair. I can’t say enough about how hard this guy worked in the hot sun digging down through our egg rock landscaping to locate the leak and repair it. After a quick trip to Home Depot for parts, he returned and finished the job. The pump and filter are now working like new. I am very impressed with Steve’s hard work, knowledge and friendliness. As a satisfied customer, I highly recommend this company.

To say I am impressed is an understatement.
I called ALD at 9am due to what I thought would be a broken underground pool line. Trish took the call and immediately got us scheduled. She was efficient and pleasant on the phone and covered all bases. She got us into an afternoon appointment which we greatly appreciated.
Steven arrived to our home around 3pm and went right to work. Within 30 minutes he found the issue. To my extreme surprise and delight, it was not a broken line under the ground. Instead, an o-ring had gone bad. He located it, fixed it and tested the entire system for any further issues. Finding none, I celebrated not having to dig up an area of my yard once again.
Steven is a complete professional with an awesome personality to match. He handled everything with such a level of care. He and Trish both deserve raises :)

I had a hot water pipe develop a leak below the slab in my home and did not really want to trench out my whole slab from the middle of the home to the bathroom tearing up multiple floors If I could get the leak isolated to the bathroom where I "believed" it to be. I spoke with Alana R at the Michigan SE office and she got everything set up for me to have a tech come out in a few days. Steve W was the tech that came out and he was personable and professional and was able to isolate the leak in the bathroom where I thought it was, due to the floor being warmer in that area. This allows me to make the decision to tear up the bathroom floor vs a trench in the slab from the water heater through a kitchen and living room to the bathroom, preventing tearing up and replacing 3 sections of flooring. It was a pleasure working with both of them and I would absolutely use them again. Thanks again , I appreciate everything. ALD definitely deserves 5 stars in my opinion.
