First off, THANK YOU for being here! Photography has always been my #1 passion and a big part of everything I have done throughout my life. I quit my corporate marketing job in the midst of 2020 to take the leap and become a full-time freelance photographer, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I specialize in various forms of portraiture and weddings, but I have photographed a little bit of everything! I actually started photography by photographing concerts. I pride myself for my attention to detail, finding the best light and creating photos that will stand the test of time.
When I am not holding a camera, you can typically find me eating pasta, attending concerts, cuddling with my 2 kitties (Ollie & Spike), reading/watching music biographies or thrifting anything from the 80s/90s. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to help make your visual dreams come to life!

Jamie did a fabulous job on my daughter’s Senior pictures. We was a very windy day, however, she made the wind work for us not against us. Her turnaround time for getting me the pictures was very quick. Overall, I would highly recommend her.

I reached out to Jamie last minute for a surprise photoshoot for my boyfriend's graduation around different areas of Downtown Detroit.
Despite the last minute hire, she was incredibly responsive and helpful in accommodating what we wanted to capture and even checked out some possible locations for us beforehand! She is a native and knows where all the amazing locations Detroit had to offer and what times would yield the best shots.
Because we are newer at taking photos (individually and as a couple) we were worried about feeling awkward and not knowing how to pose. Jamie is a true professional and made us feel so comfortable and suggested so many poses that turned out amazing.
She sent all the photos edited and earlier than the anticipated time frame and the shots exceeded anything we could imagine!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whenever I am working with someone new, I like to get a sense of who you are as well as your needs whether that is through an in-person meeting, over the phone or email before scheduling a shoot date. Once there is a thorough understanding and agreement of how my customers needs can be met, we figure out a date/time and then I require a signed contract to solidify the booking.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am mostly self-taught when it comes to photography and lighting, but I have a Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University in Media Arts which has thoroughly helped me excel in this field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I mainly love this profession because I love connecting with people!! I used to work in corporate marketing before I became a freelance photographer and that work sucked me dry because of the lack of connection. Also, I get a lot of satisfaction knowing that my imagery will play a role in people's legacy throughout time.
