There are several reasons I believe my work stands out. Most importantly, I give my client the look that they desire, not how I think they should look. Secondly, the quality of the products that I use - from the brushes to the eyelashes! Also, makeup is my passion, it's not just a job to me. I stay current in my education, making sure I am knowledgeable about the latest trends and products. My favorite part of the job is handing the client the mirror at the end, and they say "WOW! I didn't realize makeup could do that."

Annette is both talented and professional (and genuinely fun!). Before the wedding, we did two trial runs and Annette made sure I had the look I wanted (I don't wear make-up often and prefer a natural look, and so I didn't know exactly what I was going for, but Annette patiently tried various color combos until I was happy - so appreciated!). For the day of I rented a bridal suite at a local hotel and she and our hair stylist showed up early and was fully set-up before I arrived, ready to go. Annette furthermore connected us with Laura, the hairstylist, who also did a fantastic job. All of our make up with perfect (me, my bridal party, and my mother). My mother, who has a health condition and is unable to put on make-up herself, described Annette's touch as soothing therapy for her face. She is impeccably clean and she kept us on schedule so that we'd make it to the venue on time. Furthermore, our traditional (non-air brushed) make-up stayed on the whole night through dinner, drinks, and dancing, and photographed very well. Thank you Annette!

Annette was absolutely amazing! All night long everyone commented on how good my make up looked and also how good my bridesmaids looked! Even through crying and sweating ( air conditioner at hall quit working with 91 degree weather outside) my make up did not come off! Shr fud an amazing job! We all looked beautuful!! Her number is kept in my phone forfuture occasions!

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
About 3-4 times a year I attend a seminar in either New York, LA or Toronto. Technology changes fast in this world too, new techniques in airbrush, the trends come from the coasts and move their way to the Midwest.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After working for 10 years in a male dominated career, being the only woman, I was pretty miserable. I sat back and thought about what makes me really happy, and what would make me excited to go to work everyday. Then I enrolled in school to get certified for it - and the rest is history!
